STP Operations Analyst

We are hiring an STP Operations Analyst to be based in either our Madrid or London office. The successful applicant will work within a team which is responsible for providing operational support for a large portfolio of post-trade systems. The main responsibilities include providing operational support for order management, trade booking, affirmation, confirmation, and regulatory reporting. Additionally, the role involves testing with internal and external clients, attending and fixing 1st and 2nd line post-trade system problems, working with project teams, investigating long-term issues, and managing supplier and client relations.

Key skills, experience and competencies required to be successful in this role:

  • Excellent FIX knowledge
  • Awareness of Financial Products (Rates, FX and Fixed Income)
  • Awareness of Front Office Systems and workflows for Financial Products (Rates, FX and Fixed Income)
  • Awareness of Post trade systems and workflows used by above product areas (e.g. MarkitWire/RTNS/VCON/ICELink/IDT/Traiana etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL

Market Data Customer Service Agent

We are looking for a customer service agent that can handle the challenges and fast pace associated with global markets. The ideal candidate should be a creative problem solver with strong toubleshooting skills, as well as having excellent customer service/support skills, preferably with previous experience supporting a 24×6 customer base. You will be pivotal in ensuring that all incidents are rapidly resolved and communicated internally across our engineering teams and our customer base.

Essential skills

  • At least 2 years’ experience as part of a service/support team assisting a financial market data customer base; or within an IT service support environment, managing software applications and or data services to end users.  Strong Excel skills (including formulas and pivot tables).  Strong ticket management skills (categorisation, prioritisation, escalation, resolution).
  • Data entry for on-boarding data sets for customers.

Other skills/experience considered an advantage:

  • Previous experience of generating key KPIs on a weekly basis and presentation to senior management of findings and improvements.
  • Any Linux or Windows skills for interrogate log files to assist with troubleshooting issues.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting systems using applications such as Solar winds, ITRS, SCOM.
  • ITIL knowledge/qualification.
  • Any experience with electronic trading platforms in Fixed Income or Foreign Exchange.

Market Data Support Engineer L1 (Day Shift)

Join our busy Market Data Support team and provide operational support for everything related to Market Data. From ensuring integrity, provision, dissemination, transformation, all the way through to peripheral and bespoke consuming applications, you’ll be at the forefront of making sure our data is accurate and accessible to our customers.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years experience working in a fast-paced market data environment, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage and build relationships with key stakeholders. Working knowledge of Market Data Infrastructures that deliver Real-Time Market Data to consumers such as TREP and BPIPE is essential. You should be able to work autonomously or in a team, prioritize multiple tasks, and have advanced Excel skills.

Linux DevOps Engineer

Tradition are currently seeking a Linux DevOps Engineer to be based within the Madrid office. Successful candidates will have a number of responsibilities within this role, notably including:

  • Working with a range of internal stakeholders
  • Operational management of Tradition’s electronic trading platforms to ensure maximum system availability.
  • To provide a secure and scalable technology platform.
  • Monitoring, maintaining and supporting the underlying Linux, hypervisor and storage infrastructure.
  • Dealing with requests and queries from both internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with planning and implementing major projects focused around infrastructure architecture.
  • Form part of a team rota to support weekday shifts from 07:00-16:00 and weekend work (approximately 1 a month).

The successful candidate should have experience managing systems infrastructure, be proficient in Linux, have a solid grasp of data structures and algorithms, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Python, Ansible, Puppet, and automation tools is essential, while experience with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes for application deployment and orchestration is desirable.

Full Stack Developer (.NET)

As a Full Stack Developer (.NET) at Tradition, you will be a part of one of the world’s largest interdealer brokers, specializing in over-the-counter financial and commodity related products. Your role will involve developing user interfaces, as well as extending and adapting existing systems, and developing new browser-based software solutions. This role requires a motivated individual with problem-solving skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and the capability to manage projects independently and collaborate with internal teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop user interfaces in C#, ASP.NET Core, Blazor, and JavaScript/React.
  • Ensure the interfaces developed accurately reflect the business needs.
  • Extend and adapt existing C# and XML-based systems.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating motivation, problem-solving skills, and an ability to handle pressure.
  • Manage projects independently and collaborate with other internal teams.

Key Skills, Experience, and Competencies Required:

  • Experience working in a software development role.
  • Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, Blazor, and React.

Senior Trading Application Support Engineer

Tradition is currently seeking a Senior Trading Application Support Engineer based in Madrid. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring effective operational resiliency standards are in place to maintain availability and continuity of critical business operations while meeting regulatory obligations. You will manage incidents and requests from external customers, internal brokers, and ecommerce teams, as well as onboard customers onto trading platforms and market data platforms. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Instrument Management
  • Desk/market configurations
  • Handling trader/broker permission and access requests
  • Setting up new markets and configuring screens
  • Analyzing client fix logs for troubleshooting
  • Reviewing team tickets for superior customer service
